Alumni Volunteer Award 2025
Christina Crowley-Arklie Celebrated for Exemplary Volunteer Leadership

The University of Guelph is proud to announce Christina Crowley-Arklie (BComm ’09) as the recipient of the 2025 Alumni Volunteer Award. A communications strategist and long-time community advocate, Christina exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated alumna, generously giving her time and expertise to advance the University and support her community.
Christina’s connection to the University runs deep. A graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce program, majoring in Agricultural Business, she has remained an engaged and passionate Gryphon long after graduation. As a student, she was College Royal President; she later served as a member of the College Royal Past Presidents’ Society and as president of the University of Guelph Alumni Association (UGAA). Christina has been a dedicated Alumni Reunion Weekend volunteer, and in 2020 she served on the University’s Presidential Search Committee, helping to shape the next chapter of U of G’s leadership. Her work with these initiatives reflects her deep belief in the power of alumni to inspire and support the next generation.
Beyond campus, Christina is a recognized leader in strategic communications and leadership development. She is the founder of Crowley + Arklie Strategy & Co., a Guelph-based consulting firm serving clients across Canada, specializing in the agriculture and food sector. Through her work, she supports a variety of organizations in communicating with authenticity and clarity. The company offers corporate training, communications coaching, and speaking engagements, with a strong focus on helping leaders and entrepreneurs identify and share their “why.” In addition to her business leadership, Christina is a coach for entrepreneurs and women in business, helping them grow their impact and confidence through one-to-one and group coaching programs.
Christina’s commitment to the community is evident through her ongoing volunteer service. Her community service includes the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital Board of Directors and the Royal Reach charity gala. In politics, she has been an active member of the Guelph Provincial Liberal Association Board since 2014, building on her experience working at Queen’s Park from 2014 to 2018. Across all these roles, Christina brings a strategic mindset and unwavering dedication to community betterment.
Her ongoing dedication to improving life through leadership, volunteerism and community engagement makes her a deserving recipient of the 2025 Alumni Volunteer Award. Christina’s legacy continues to grow, both on campus and beyond, through the many people and organizations she continues to inspire and uplift. Christina is proud to call the community of Guelph home, where she lives with her husband Andrew, a fellow Gryphon alumnus, and their three children Blake, Stella and Kenton.
